In Need of a Friend(64k) July 2001. An ill Mulder needs Scully but can't find her, forcing him to find comfort elsewhere.

Burdened (25k) April 2001. From the story: "Agent Mulder. Was that still who I was? Who I would be? I didn't feel it. The title was hollow; meant nothing. It wasn't me. Not any more." (Bridging the gap between "DeadAlive" and "Three Words.")

Sick and Tired (50k) August 2000. An ailing Mulder runs into an old acquaintance on yet another ER visit. Post-ep for “Brand X.” Sort of.

Out Cold (59k) June 2000. Mulder is found in his rental car and taken, unconscious, to the hospital. Fill in for “Apocrypha.” Yes, that’s right. I said “Apocrypha.” You got a problem with that? <g>

I Can Only Marvel (26k) April 2000. Skinner gains new insight into his agents, and himself, as they confront Mulder’s illness. Fill-in for “Brand X.”

Bruised Masculinity (20k) March 2000. Cyberbabe apparently gave Mulder more than one kind of jolt. Post-ep for "First Person Shooter."

Conversation in the Dark (18k) February 2000. Eventually the tears stopped, and they talked. (Fill-in for "Sein und Zeit.")

God and Antivenin  (38k) February 2000. Scully faces the severity of Mulder’s injuries, as well as the inexplicable aspects of their case and his recovery. Fill-in for "Signs and Wonders.”

Maybe (Merry Christmas) (14k) December 1999. Follow up to "I Know" (scroll down, there it is!). A chance encounter reopens old wounds. And maybe helps them heal.

Stitches (17k) December 1999. Mulder's injury leads to some reflection. Fill-in for "Millennium."

The Watchman (10k) November 1999. Someone watches over Mulder. Fill-in for that time between "Biogenesis" and "The 6th Extinction." (My first vignette!)

Victory Cap (73k) November 1999. Baseball is the key to life for Mulder as he recovers from the events of "Amor Fati." (WINNER!  1999 Purple Heart Award, Best Episode Fiction and Best Third-Person Story--Current.)

Mountains out of Molehills (67k) November 1999. Mulder puts it best when he says “I fell boom.” Really, that’s about it.

Long Weekend  (259k) September 1999. Mulder takes a little trip with the Lone Gunmen, and things don't go as planned.

Worried (29k) August 1999. Those missing scenes from "Demons," where Mulder goes to the hospital after his collapse outside the cottage. Scully ponders what is happening to her partner.

First Case  (53k) June 1999. A young medical student encounters a very special first trauma case.

Post-trip (57k) May 1999. What happened after the doors to that truck closed at the end of "Field Trip"?

Agua Mala, Sangre Mala (46k)  February 1999. What does happen to a Special Agent who has been attacked by a sea monster, anyway? And does he forgive his partner?

The Kindness of Strangers (60k) February 1999. A fill-in for "Tithonus," documenting the hell that Mulder goes through as he finds out what happened to Scully, and the thing he is reminded of.

The Wringer (112k) November 1998. Did you wonder what Scully meant by "been through the wringer" at the end of "Triangle"? Me too. Try this on for size.

I Know (70k) October 1998. A third person recounts her experiences helping Dana and Fox come to terms with Dana's cancer. Written in journal form.

Short of Breath (117k) September 1998. No plot, no story, not really. Just pure unadulterated, unabashed, unapologetic, unrelenting medical Mulder torture. Oh, and there's a heavy dose of Scully concern, with a dollop of Skinner concern thrown in for good measure. (WINNER! 1998 Purple Heart Award, Best Medical MulderTorture--Current.)

Shouldering the Blame (103k) July 1998. The further adventures of Mulder as he recovers from shoulder surgery--at the Scully's, with Bill in attendance. Followup to "Shouldering Responsibility." (WINNER! 1999 Purple Heart Award, Best Long Story--Vintage.)

Shouldering Responsibility (114k) June 1998. A followup to "Pain in the Night," but you should be able to follow this without having read that. Mulder is forced into elective shoulder surgery, and tries to take it like a man.

Pain in the Night (32k) June 1998. My first fan fic!! Scully and Mulder make a late-night trip to the ER thanks to one of Mulder's recurring injuries.
